Trip to the Texas State Aquarium

-Photo 1: Christian Garza, along with the rest of the third graders at Santiago Garcia Elementary in Edcouch, visited the Texas State Aquarium last Friday.
-Photo 2-4: Two buses were needed to drive the whole third grade class to Corpus Christi.
-Photo 5-7: The third graders kept a look-out for signs that they were getting closer to Corpus as they eagerly awaited their arrival to the aquarium.
-Photo 8-9: Both the students and chaperones requested a much-needed break at a rest area just past the checkpoint.
-Photo 10-11: Students return to the bus after their short restroom break.
-Photo 12-13: According to most of the third graders, the dolphin show was their favorite part of the trip.
-Photo 14: Other schools, such as an elementary school from Weslaco, also enjoyed the aquarium that day.
-Photo 15: The third grade students were separated into groups of five or six and each group was assigned to a chaperone, such as this coach picture above.
-Photo 16: Students who attended the trip were awe-struck as they stared at all the different types of fish.
-Photo 17: The Texas State Aquarium also hosted a “Wildlife Research Camp” where they introduced the children to animals from around the world.

-Photo 19: According to their trainers, these dolphins are very smart and “catch on to things very quickly.”
-Photo 20-22: The Texas State Aquarium also hosted a “Wildlife Research Camp” where they introduced the children to animals from around the world.
-Photo 23-25: Visitors were allowed to play with the crabs, so long as they did not intentionally hurt them.
-Photo 26: Students were given the opportunity to buy souvenirs in the two gift shops at the aquarium.
-Photo 27: After a long day at the aquarium, the students and chaperones headed to Golden Corral to pig out.
-Photo 28: Mrs. Rios and her third grade class.
- Photo 29: The Texas State Aquarium is a nonprofit aquarium located in Corpus Christi, Texas. It is dedicated to promoting the Gulf of Mexico and conservation.
